Actuators
Electromechanical actuators for Aeronautics
ADR designs and manufactures linear and rotating electromechanical actuators that meet the specific needs of controlled positioning, repeatability of movement, power and load capacity.
ADR linear and rotating electromechanical actuators combine high efficiency with a small size and low weight.
ADR relies on this innovative technology to develop optimised solutions for on-board systems and servitude management: emergency actuators, secondary flight control actuators, etc.

High-precision ball bearings
Miniature and annular bearings for enhanced performance
ADR designs and produces a wide range of high-precision ball bearings that comply with the most demanding technical specifications and are EN9100 certified.
The materials, liquid or solid lubricants and manufacturing processes are qualified and proven. The ADR bearing range is extensive: from 1 to 330 mm and up to ABEC 9 (ISO 2). They guarantee high reliability and resistance in the most restrictive environments: vibration, thermal, climatic, speed, etc.
ADR ball bearings are present in a lot of aeronautical and space equipment and instruments such as valves, pumps, actuators, turbochargers, etc.

Integrated bearings
Performance and repeatability
ADR designs and manufactures integrated bearings matched and preloaded solidly.
ADR bearings guarantee the best compromise of stiffness and friction torque while optimising the weight, dimensions and cost of the equipment. This specific design uses qualified materials and fluid or solid lubricants and is responsible for the performance and the repeatability of the behaviour of these bearings.
The assembly and final inspections in a clean room ensure a high level of cleanliness and spatial compatibility. ADR integrated bearings are in particular used in satellite mechanisms such as the deployment of solar panels or antennae (SADM), engine orientation, inertia wheels, filter wheels, etc.

Matrices for satellite antennae

For over fifteen years, ALSYMEX has designed and manufactured invar moulds with specific deformation profiles used for manufacturing geostationary satellite antenna reflectors.
Based on theoretical data and using specific semi-finished equipment supplied by the client, ALSYMEX manufactures, machines and polishes, within a maximum period of thirty days, reflectors with diameter up to 3 m.

Tube fittings
The experience acquired over more than 50 years in manufacturing of tube fittings for nuclear applications with a very high level of safety and dependability enables ALYNOX to offer competitive, alternative solutions for Aeronautics & Space applications. The components manufactured by ALYNOX, in stainless steel and/or nickel alloy (Inconel), using an innovative hydro-forming technology, have high-performance mechanical properties and enable substantial on-board weight savings.
By way of an example, ALYNOX produces Inconel fittings installed on the fuel circuit of the A400 M's engines.
ALYNOX also has a range of ABF three-piece machined fittings, which are removable and have metal-metal sealing (250 bar – 600 °C). Their design can be adapted to all of our clients' needs (SW, BW, threaded, etc.).

Coolant closed circuits
ATMOSTAT studies and designs cooling circuits based on two-phase fluid loops. All of these upstream theoretical and experimental studies linked to two-phase cooling issues now enable a global industrial solution to be offered for thermal management of new-generation high heat flow density power electronics (thermal flux).
Thermal transfer components range – DIPHASIK®:
- Fully sealed miniature pump
- Condenser
- Dynamic evaporator
- Fluid (phase change)
- Fully sealed fluid connector

Safety components
ATMOSTAT designs, justifies and manufactures a range of effective safety device solutions for propulsion systems:
- Aeronautical non-return valves
- Subsea safety valves
- Tank lids

Spatial valves
ATMOSTAT designs, justifies and manufactures a range of flow control valves intended for propulsion subassemblies of engine satellites, with a thrust ranging from 1 to 500 N, monopropellant or bipropellant.
With a sturdy, proven design, ATMOSTAT valves are "Flight Proven" certified. They are primarily used in geostationary satellite apogee engines (telecommunications) and in the propulsion systems of small satellites in low orbit for altitude control.
Also used within the context of space applications based on off-the-shelf equipment, ATMOSTAT valves adapt to the most challenging demands, especially those expressed in launcher or scientific space mission applications.

Speed sensors
ATMOSTAT designs and manufactures speed sensors that are fin-shaped to measure pressure while avoiding the scoop effect.
Designed with technical support from ONERA, they have undergone ground and in-flight testing that successfully validated the concept. These tests reveal the presence of a strong signal communicating precise and efficient information in all flight conditions (high altitude, extreme frost conditions, heavy rain, etc.).
ATMOSTAT speed sensors are designed to be installed instead of existing Pitot probes. The algorithm of the Air Data measuring chain just needs updating.
The sensor's shape and the natural protection of the pressure measurements (no scoop effect) mean that the equipment is in no way affected by extreme frost conditions. There is also a significant reduction in the electrical heating power required in the event of frost and a significant reduction in weight.

Metal ceramic assemblies
PMB designs and manufactures tailored ceramic-metal components and assemblies. The quality of its production relies on its historical, well-known expertise in the assembly of dissimilar materials by vacuum brazing.
The manufacturing processes cover preparation, machining, surface treatment, controlled atmosphere vacuum brazing and welding.
PMB manufactures ceramic/metal penetrations, kicker chambers, connectors subjected to severe environments and pyrotechnic igniters.

Non-destructive X-Ray testing
PMB produces non-destructive X-Ray testing systems combining a high X-ray energy LINAC (linear particle accelerator) with an imaging and handling system. The performance of these systems relies on the use of computerised tomography techniques that combine X-rays with computers to produce images of the inside of the object being inspected. The PMB systems therefore provide cross-sectional and three-dimensional images of the inspected components. They combine precise detection of faults in complex structures, without altering the properties, with a very simple computer interface.
These non-destructive X-Ray testing systems are used in particular to test components and machines in aeronautics and space. These components are subjected to difficult environments and extreme conditions. They require precise and rigorous inspection in order to identify any internal faults.

Black box search
ALSEAMAR operates 24/7, covering every sea, in the event of air accidents, to quickly locate black boxes.
To do this, the company relies on 20 years of experience in subsea acoustics and on two long-distance acoustic detection systems that ALSEAMAR has developed and operates in the event of an accident, the DETECTOR-1000 and the DETECTOR-6000.
The turnkey service offered by ALSEAMAR takes care of the dispatch to site of the equipment and personnel to conduct searches, deploys and recovers the DETECTOR, and issues a mission report.
Submerged 1,000 m under the sea, the DETECTORs are capable of detecting and distinguishing the low noise level of a flight recorder in the background noise of the sea up to a depth of 4,000 metres.
ALSEAMAR successfully intervened in 2016 to locate the black boxes of EgyptAir flight MS804 at a depth of 3,000 m, in the Mediterranean, and in the past in Sharm El Sheikh (Red Sea) and Sochi (Black Sea).
